Founder & Artistic Director
Becca Jakubson (she/her) is a teacher, artist, performer, and choreographer based in Seattle, WA. She has over 20 years of experience coaching, teaching, performing, and competing in dance and figure skating.
Her mission is to create a space for Latin dancers to deeply understand the roots and technique of dance to empower each dancer to intentionally make choices in their movement.
Her experience includes teaching salsa, bachata, fusion, and fitness classes in Seattle for over 8 years at Westlake Dance Center, Baila District, Studio Azul, Sueños de Salsa, and Salsaymotion. She is founder, director, and choreographer for BGC Dance, a Latin fusion dance company and community, which is entering its 7th season with over 35 dancers and 3 teams. She was also a member of Sabrosa Pro, a professional Latin fusion dance team that performed and competed across the west coast and internationally.
BGC Dance Expression Co-Director
Tanya Liu (she/her) has been leading BGC Dance Expression since its inception, guiding the team through three dynamic seasons of growth and artistry. As co-director, she brings passion, precision, and a deep love for movement, helping dancers refine their technique and storytelling. A founding member of BGC Dance Company since its very first season, Tanya’s experience and dedication continue to shape the BGC community, fostering creativity, connection, and powerful performances.


BGC Dance Movement Rehearsal Director
Ana Jelacic (she/her) steps into her first season as Rehearsal Director for BGC Dance Movement, bringing her dedication and experience as both a performer and leader. After dancing with BGC Dance Movement, she spent three seasons with BGC Dance Company, honing her artistry and precision. Now, she’s excited to support the next generation of dancers, ensuring rehearsals run smoothly and performances shine.
Artistic Advisor
Rhya Milici (she/her) is the creative force behind many BGC pieces, serving as a co-choreographer, costume, and artistic advisor throughout the seasons. Her vision, expertise, and dedication shape the look and feel of BGC’s performances, bringing each piece to life with precision and artistry.
As our right hand, Rhya is an essential part of BGC—simply put, we couldn’t do it without her.
